Problem prevention

Of course, it is not possible to completely eliminate the ingress of fat into the sewer, because it is washed off quite a lot from the dishes, and all available dishwashing detergents only help to remove it from there, but not to dissolve it. It is possible to reduce the amount of fatty substances entering the sewer pipes by following simple measures: do not drain the grease into the sewer, install grease traps, oil, residues of products containing a large amount of fat, pour it into an unnecessary container and throw it in the bin.

In extreme cases, drain into the toilet, the diameter of the pipe, which is much wider, and pour warm or hot water to dissolve the fat. A properly designed sewer system is also an effective way to deal with the accumulation of fat deposits in drains: choosing the optimal pipe diameter for sewer distribution and installing them under an appropriate slope (5-10 cm per meter length). With a smaller slope, the washable waste will settle, forming a cork, with a much larger slope, water, as a lighter substance in terms of specific gravity, will tend to top and drain quickly, and fat,as well as other dense and heavy mixes - settle on the bottom of the walls, clogging the sewer outlets.
