Overview of Reflex Accumulators for Water Systems

Hydraulic accumulators are actively used in organizing the water supply of private houses into which water is pumped from wells or wells. On the market, this device is represented by a huge variety from a large number of manufacturers. One of the most popular brands includes hydraulic accumulators for Reflex from a German manufacturer.

Design features and working principle

The Reflex hydraulic accumulators are presented by models from 2 to 1500 liters

Reflex hydraulic accumulators are water tanks made of carbon steel and coated with enamel on the inside to protect against moisture. A pear-shaped membrane is inserted inside, made of butyl rubber rubber, which is recommended for use in various types of tanks designed for storing drinking water.

The membrane divides the tank into two parts:

  • water is pumped into the pear pump, which does not come into contact with the walls of the tank;
  • in the space between the membrane and the body of the accumulator in the factory, nitrogen is pumped under a certain pressure.

Gas transfers its pressure to water, which, when the pump is off and open consumers, creates pressure inside the plumbing system of a private house. The accumulator also provides:

  • protection against possible hydraulic shocks, which often occur in the water supply;
  • creation of the required water supply in case of failure of the pump or power outage.

Gas pressure makes it possible to adjust the on and off times of the pump unit. To do this, increase or decrease it. This can be done through the nipple, which is located on the opposite side of the inlet pipe.

The lineup

Hydraulic accumulators Reflex is a fairly wide range of models, in which there are tanks with a volume ranging from 2 liters, ending with 1,500-liter tanks. For a private house, the most common models are:

  • Reflex DE 50 with a volume of 50 liters, such devices are ideal for buildings in which 3-4 people live;
  • Reflex DE 80, which can provide water for a two-story house;
  • Reflex DE 100 - the optimal model for a fairly large house;
  • Reflex DE 200 is installed in private homes where water is used intensively, there are a large number of consumers (faucets, faucets, plumbing fixtures).

According to their technical characteristics, all models differ from each other only in tank volume. In all other respects - source materials, form, structural elements - are similar. Therefore, the main selection criterion is volume. It affects the price of accumulators for Reflex water systems. The larger the device, the more expensive it is.

In the model line there are two varieties of the described devices. Some under the brand name "DE" are the owners of the membrane, which can be replaced with a new one when it fails. Others under the brand name "DC" in their design have a membrane that cannot be replaced.

Advantages of Accumulators of the brand Reflex

The reason for the popularity of German models is their high performance and advantages over other brands:

  • a fairly wide model range in which you can easily select the desired option;
  • high quality of the materials used, especially with regard to such characteristics as elasticity of the rubber membrane;
  • simple membrane replacement process, highest maintainability of the device;
  • high protective properties of the tank and membrane from the negative effects of water, bacteria;
  • effective and reliable design of connecting elements, which allows you to quickly and accurately connect the accumulator to the water supply network;
  • long term of operation;
  • affordable price, which makes these products affordable.

Reliability of the design, as well as a wide variety of lineups are a priority. The latter factor gives an advantage in the correct selection of the accumulator, taking into account the characteristics and parameters of the water supply system.

Features of installation, operation and maintenance

Wiring diagram

Two flexible water hoses are required to connect to the water pipe. One (suction) is connected to the pump directly or through a pipe segment or connected to the discharge section of the water main. The second end of this hose is connected to the flange of the rubber membrane through the inlet pipe, which is an integral part of the design of the accumulator.

The second flexible hose is threadedly connected to a section of the water supply, through which water is supplied to consumers.

The installation location of the accumulator is unlimited. The main thing is the free space where it could fit, and the length of the flexible inserts, sufficient for connection.

Accumulator maintenance is as follows:

  • Once a month, make sure that the pump on and off setting is not lost;
  • Once every 6 months, check the pressure inside the tank with a car gauge, this is done through a nipple;
  • if the pressure is lower than the passport one, it is necessary to pump air through a nipple with a car pump and then check it with a manometer;
  • constantly check if the joints of the joints are leaking, the quality condition of the accumulator itself: rust, dents and more.

Malfunction may result in damage to the rubber membrane. You can check this by pressing a match on the nipple. If water has flowed, then the membrane is torn. We'll have to replace the pear with a new one. To do this, six flange bolts are unscrewed, the latter together with the membrane is removed. A new rubber bulb is inserted inside the tank, which is supported by a flange.

Hydraulic accumulators Reflex can only be operated at a positive temperature. Therefore, they are installed in heated rooms. If the country house is not operated in winter, the water from the water supply system and accumulator must be drained.

Cost of Accumulators Reflex

The price of the accumulator from Germany directly depends on the volume of the device. There are specific parameters that affect the cost of the unit. For example, execution in the category of fastening. Mounted hydraulic accumulators are cheaper than those in the construction of which there are supporting racks.

The cost of some mounted models in rubles:

  • Reflex DE 8 - 1500;
  • Reflex DE 25 - 2300;
  • Reflex DE 33 - 3300.

Prices of vertical appliances, in the design of which there are legs (racks):

  • Reflex DE 60 - 5300;
  • Reflex DE 80 - 6300;
  • Reflex DE 100 - 7800;
  • Reflex DE 200 - 13700;
  • Reflex DE 500 - 24,000;
  • Reflex DE 1500 - 100000.

Models of DC accumulators are more expensive than DE. For example, the Reflex DC 500 costs 29,000 rubles. The reason is a membrane made of durable material with a thicker wall. Hence the longer life.
