The technology of ventilated facades (NVF) originated in Germany. It turned out to be so effective and efficient that for a short time it won the preferences of many builders and customers around the world.
General idea
NVF is a multilayer construction that is bulky. The ventilated facade consists of facing material and directly the structure of the ventilated facade. The internal device is represented by a supporting structure, which is attached to the walls so that there is a free distance between it and the facing part of the facade. This gap has two functions: ventilation and thermal insulation.
The effectiveness of the system of ventilated facades
IAF is a highly efficient two-stage system. It protects the walls of buildings and structures from atmospheric phenomena and wind, prevents the formation and accumulation of moisture inside the bearing walls of buildings, and performs the functions of thermal insulation and sound absorption. The main load-bearing profile of the NVF is designed in such a way that moisture entering the facing surface is removed through the drainage. Thus, a minimum contact of atmospheric moisture with a heat-insulating material is ensured.
Thermal insulation
Due to the fact that the insulation is directly protected from the effects of precipitation and wind (i.e. it remains dry), a low degree of thermal conductivity is ensured. The insulation material is protected from atmospheric moisture, which ensures high thermal insulation properties. In addition, the ventilation channel between the facade surface and the insulation material is also a cushion that prevents energy loss. As a result, the two-stage heat-insulating design provides lower thermal conductivity. In the summer, ventilated facades protect the walls from thermal stress.
Dew point
An important point in the operation of buildings is the dew point. When using NVF, the dew point is formed precisely at the level of insulation. In other thermal insulation systems, the dew point is inside the walls. How is this dangerous? The dew point is where the moisture condenses. In winter, in a poorly insulated structure, moisture can condense not only inside the load-bearing walls, but also in the room itself. Both options are equally unacceptable, since the walls are exposed to the damaging effects of moisture. In the case of ventilated facades on the face, the opportunity to extend the life of buildings and structures, and when repairing and designing new construction, save building material for external walls.
Soundproofing properties
The composite nature of the design of the illegal armed groups allows the use of materials with excellent noise and soundproofing properties. For example, mineral wool heaters have their own soundproofing properties.In addition, the design itself provides some degree of sound insulation.
