Modern modular boiler rooms are designed for heating residential and industrial buildings with gas. BMK are a spatial system that is not divided by internal partitions. Modules are assembled at the factory and delivered to the site.

The boiler equipment is designed to receive hot water and supply it to the heat supply and water supply systems. Manufacturers produce systems in accordance with GOST 15150, the design of which includes:

  • block module (one or several) in the factory assembly;
  • metal pipe providing a chimney.

Production of boiler rooms is carried out using technologies:

  • closed double-circuit system - a barrier heat exchanger separates the boiler and network circuits to prevent temperature jumps, overpressure;
  • multi boiler regulation systems - air parameters, temperatures are monitored automatically. The fuel combustion mode is set in the same way;
  • frequency regulation systems - frequency-controlled drives are installed on pumps, smoke exhausters and fans, which save energy;
  • vacuum deaerators and cooler evaporators - reduce heat loss.

Natural and liquefied natural gas, diesel fuel, can be used as fuel.

The block-modular boiler house has several advantages compared to the stationary one:

  • savings on the construction of a major building under the boiler;
  • reduction in the cost of using the heat route;
  • reduction of heat loss during transportation of the coolant;
  • high readiness for commissioning;
  • quick installation - equipment is connected in 3-10 days, the system is deployed in 4 hours;
  • automation of the management process - reducing the risk of failures and accidents;
  • the ability to choose a system by power - there are models from 0.2 to 50 MW.

The disadvantages of devices include:

  • commissioning procedures exclusively by specialists;
  • risks of emergency situations during fires and unauthorized operation;
  • the use of explosive fuels.

Block boiler rooms are operated according to the estimated period of 15-20 years.

The main types of boiler rooms

Depending on the design, two types of devices are distinguished.

Stationary BMK

Stationary BMKs have good performance

The boiler room is fully assembled at the factory and is intended to provide hot water supply after heating the carrier. It has the following characteristics:

  • performance - a heat generator with any power is connected to it;
  • admissibility of cascade connection - the technology provides for the integration of several boilers into a common network;
  • universality of fuel used and connections - compatible with gas tanks and central highways;
  • ease of conversion to another type of coolant.

Stationary devices are delivered to the facility and unloaded with a truck crane. The finished installation with automation, a control unit, circulation equipment, wiring and security systems is mounted on the foundation.

Mobile systems

The transportable modular boiler room is installed in rooms with a maximum area of ​​up to 5 thousand squares. The design capacity is not more than 500 kW, so it cannot be understaffed with auxiliary systems.Low-power installations are easy to install without preparatory measures.

Mobile BMKs are 30% more expensive than stationary ones.

Fuel Type Classification

Gas boiler room

To effectively heat a private house or a country cottage, it is worth not only choosing the type of installation. You need to think about the type of fuel used. According to this criterion, block boiler rooms are divided into several groups.

Gas devices

Natural fuels or butane provide economical operation of boiler houses. The disadvantage of the installation is the expensive installation, but the low cost of gas pays for itself in the first season of operation. The modular gas boiler room is connected to the boiler, which solves the problem of providing the house with hot water.

The gas boiler is safe, equipped with atmospheric burners with a minimum noise level, adapted to low pressure. The equipment is suitable for residential buildings and industrial plants.

Oil systems

Block boiler rooms operate on diesel or kerosene. They will be a good solution for areas without gas pipelines. The diesel type of modules is characterized by low cost of fuel resources, autonomy of work and high efficiency.

Devices on diesel or kerosene are easily converted to gas.

Solid fuel models

Solid fuel boiler room

A coal, briquette or wood burning plant is a backup option. A solid type of fuel has a low cost, and the boiler room itself does not depend on an electric or gas line.

Systems automatically smoke, have an efficiency of more than 85%. The disadvantage of solid fuel BMK is the need for a place to store coal, firewood or pellets.

Electrical installations

The construction of the boiler room does not take a long time due to the low cost and ease of connecting equipment. Designs do not harm the environment, are safe, and their efficiency is more than 90%. The electrical appearance of block boiler rooms has one drawback - the cost of operation is 10 times more expensive than using gas.

Modern brands also produce biofuel boiler houses, which are more expensive than all these types.

Block Modular Boiler Requirements

Smoke exhaust systems must comply with Clause 5.12.2 of SNiPa

When buying and connecting a boiler room, the following nuances must be taken into account:

  1. Installation is carried out only after calculations, approval of the project and visual inspection of the module for damage.
  2. Smoke exhaust systems must comply with Clause 5.12.2 of SNiPa for boiler devices.
  3. To ensure the safe operation of equipment on the basis of SP 89.13330 and 42.13330, a sanitary security zone is organized.
  4. Modular stationary modifications are installed only on the foundation.
  5. If a dangerous type of fuel is used, before connecting the boiler, grounding is organized, a fire alarm, leak detectors are mounted.
  6. The pipelines of the system are equipped with instrumentation, are connected by a flange-bolt method.
  7. Testing of the structure in the assembly is carried out for 72 hours.

Qualified personnel who have been trained should be engaged in connecting and servicing the BMC of an apartment building, administrative institution, and production lines.

Compared to traditional heating systems, modular boiler rooms are economical. Private households, production halls or homeowners save up to 50% in heating costs. In addition to economic feasibility, the plants are characterized by minimal fuel consumption and heat efficiency.
