Protection against voltage fluctuations, lightning and power failures

Under normal voltage conditions, the transformer produces +/- 15 V oscillations. If there is 220 V in the network, the voltage immediately goes to the consumer, has a transformation ratio of 1. In the range of 205-235 V, the output voltage does not change. When racing, the following happens:

  • less than 205 V - the secondary winding is activated with a coefficient of 1.75. The tap closes, the current goes to the output contacts;
  • above 235 V - the secondary winding is activated, the transformation coefficient of which is 0.94. The voltage is equalized to 220 V.

  • With the help of surge thresholds and current sagging at the output, the load is switched off in a few seconds. When parameters are normalized, the fuse voltage works again.

If lightning strikes, a thermal protection system is applied - the UPS is not powered until the winding transformers have cooled down.
