The main features of water wells
There are several types of wells and each has individual characteristics:
- Filter source on sand. The depth of the watery layer reaches 30 meters, is located on sandy soil. The operational life does not exceed 15 years. To maximize the service life, it is necessary to properly carry out construction work and arrangement of the source. This kind is much easier and more affordable to organize, but the well is capable of producing about 500 liters of water per day.
- The Abyssinian well has a depth ranging from 4-12 meters. The main difference from a conventional well is construction methods. - An artesian well is the most expensive way to conduct an autonomous water supply system in a country house or country house. But these shortcomings are fully compensated by the service life and high quality of water.

- Requires minimal maintenance. With proper installation of equipment, the operational life of the pumping station reaches 10 years or more. It is only important to regularly carry out preventive measures.
- Long service life. Depends on the quality of materials and equipment purchased at the store, as well as the depth of drilling. Observations showed that, on average, a well’s service life reaches 50 years.
- The ability to install equipment not only in the garden, but also in the house. Recently, the latter option has been practiced more and more often, since it is not only convenient, but also beneficial because of the unnecessary to insulate the water supply.
- Ease of drilling. You can organize the source in any place you like the customer. It is easier to drill a sand well than an artesian, the difference lies in the depth.
Having considered the advantages of a source on a personal plot, it is important to familiarize yourself with the disadvantages:
- Financial investments.If we talk about drilling a sand well, this item can most likely be attributed to the merits. The costs are acceptable, even if you give preference to quality tools and equipment. But if we are talking about an artesian well, things are different here. Special drilling rigs, a pumping station or a submersible model of a water pump + pipes and other parts will be required.
- The Law "On Subsoil". For arrangement on the artesian well site, a license and permission to carry out work by the relevant authorities are issued.
If you seriously approach the issue of equipping an autonomous water supply network, design and perform all the work, the well will not cause serious trouble for a long time.
