Arrangement of a well is a mandatory presence of a powerful pump in it. Otherwise, do not raise water from a depth. More often, modern craftsmen prefer to use domestic equipment. This is the pump Kid. A small unit is quite productive.
Device and principle of operation
The Kid pump works with a membrane, which divides the working chamber into two parts. One of them is filled with water, delivers fluid to the outlet pipe, the second one contains air.
When you turn on the device, the electric current supplied to the winding of the unit provokes electromagnetic waves. They are transmitted to the membrane through a float valve. As a result, pressure differences arise in the two compartments of the working chamber. It is for this reason that water is absorbed into the chamber and exits from it into the outlet pipe.
The number of vibrations of the membrane per second is about 100 times.
Advantages and disadvantages
The main positive aspects of the Kid pump:
- acceptable price;
- simple, understandable device and installation;
- relatively low noise level;
- good performance (enough to water the garden or to supply water to a family of 2-3 people);
- wide range (you can choose a device with upper or lower water intakes plus additional protection systems).
The disadvantages of vibration pumps Kid include:
- constant vibrations of the device in the casing, which leads to its destruction (you can solve the problem using a dense rubber ring on the pump sleeve);
- razalamuchivanie sand bottom of the well, which leads to failure of the working elements of the unit (you need to install a rough filter with its regular replacement);
- corrosion of bolts, which, unlike the case of the device, are not aluminum, but steel.
For dirty borehole water, it is better to buy a Toddler model with an upper fence.
Lineup and Specifications
Three modifications of the Kid pumps are presented on the market:
- Standard (it is basic). Has a bottom water intake.
- Model marked "K". It performs the same functions as the basic modification of the device. But it is additionally equipped with protection against overheating.
- The pump the Kid with marking "P". Here, with the same technical characteristics as the previous models, the difference is only in the body material. It is made of polymer.
Pumps Malysh-M and Malysh-3 have an upper water intake.
Technical specifications for all modifications of the Kid unit are identical:
- Productivity - 430 l / h when lifting liquid from a depth of 40 m. The smaller the depth, the higher the pump performance. Sometimes this value reaches 1050 l / h, if the water is raised from 1 m.
- Head - 40 m.
- Engine power - 245 watts.
- The maximum depth indicator is 5 m.
- The period of continuous operation is 2 hours.
Models without thermal protection should be turned off every 120 minutes at least for half an hour.
How to choose a pump
The Kid device for the well needs to be selected according to the following criteria:
- Desired amount of water supplied to the house. It is calculated from the average family needs per day for each plumbing point.
- Well production rate. If it is lower than the pump capacity, the source will quickly empty and will not be able to fill properly.
- The pressure. Here you need to calculate the length of the pipeline from the outlet to the farthest point of water supply in the house.
- Diameter of casing. It must be at least 100 mm.
- Depth of source.
It is advisable that the Kid’s pump flask be at least 10 mm smaller than the casing section.
Can the Kid pump be used for a well?
It is possible to use a vibration unit of domestic production in the well, if all the recommendations of specialists are precisely observed:
- it is advisable to mount a mechanical filter on the inlet hose and change it regularly (at least once every 2 months);
- the diameter of the water hoses must be at least 18 mm;
- it is better to fix the pump in the casing on a nylon safety cable (the steel will rust and break off over time);
- it is important to regularly lift the device and inspect it for malfunctions, sand pollution;
- during installation, it is better to immediately change all nuts for bolts to self-locking ones in order to avoid their unscrewing in water.
Also, before installing the pump, it is important to wear a rubber cuff on it. It will prevent impact of the device on the pipe wall.
The price of a submersible pump for the Malysh well varies somewhat depending on the length of its cable (in meters) and additional features: thermal protection, type of water intake, housing material. On average, from 1,600 to 2,250 rubles can be paid for a device in Moscow markets.
