Features of installation, configuration and operation

It is easy to install the thermostat yourself. If there are several radiators in the room, the device is installed on each battery or on the most powerful one.

If the radiator is not equipped with shut-off valves at the inlet and outlet, work is carried out only in the summer. If the battery can be excluded from the general circuit, the thermostat can be installed at any time.

Installation Algorithm:

  1. If necessary, turn off the heating, drain the water from the system.
  2. Marking is carried out taking into account the length of the pipes and adapters.
  3. If an extra pipe section has to be cut, a thread is made in the remaining section, a die of the required size is used. The necessary fitting is welded into the loop of polypropylene pipes.
  4. A sealant (linen, FUM tape) is wound on the thread and a valve is screwed. The arrow indicates the movement of the coolant on the case, it must be strictly adhered to.
  5. Depending on the modification, the seal is made with rubber gaskets or the conical part of the body. Abrasive grinding of joints is prohibited.
  6. According to the instructions, a thermal head is put on the regulator body.
  7. Perform a test run, eliminate leaks.

The final setting of the Danfoss thermal head for radiators is carried out after hot water is supplied to the heating system.

The manufacturer gives several important operating tips to achieve the greatest effect from the installed equipment:

  • if several batteries are equipped with temperature regulators in the room, they are subject to simultaneous adjustment;
  • when ventilating, the thermostat is turned off so that there is no increased heat consumption;
  • in standby mode, the temperature is not reduced by more than 3 degrees compared to conventional indicators - the saved energy will be spent on re-heating the room.
