Improving stove heating at home with a water boiler

The most comfortable and suitable for living are houses equipped with a reliable thermal insulation system, which allow us to enjoy the heat even in the most severe frosts. But in order for the room to become truly comfortable, you must have a reliable source of heat. One of these sources can rightly be called stove heating.

Traditional oven

The main feature of the village stove has long been that it was installed as close to the center of the house as possible so that the entire living space was heated. Its front part was directed to the kitchen, where it was used for cooking, and the rest of the structure was closer to the walls and thus heated the remaining rooms.

The heating of the boilers inside the stove is due to the fire burning in the furnace, which emits a large amount of heat. Classical stoves were small and at the same time they heated quite large houses. Their masonry was mainly made of red brick laid on a special clay mortar, and they looked something like this - a chimney, firebox, ash collector and boilers.

The advantages and disadvantages of the classic version

The merits of traditional ovens include the following:

  • economical installation. During its construction, various natural components are used. Therefore, the purchase of materials does not require large expenditures;
  • convenience in operation and unpretentiousness in leaving;
  • the possibility of its manufacture in the form of a fireplace, thereby we equip our interior with a unique design solution;
  • high efficiency. A properly folded furnace can have an efficiency of about 60%;
  • the ability to adjust the intensity of fuel combustion, thereby increasing its economy. You can also adjust the temperature of the room warming using dampers.

This design, in case of improper installation, may have several disadvantages:

  • in order for the stove to warm up the whole room well, it will take a lot of time. The larger the heated area, the more time is needed to establish a comfortable temperature in it;
  • the possibility of loss of living space. If the furnace is not properly built, it can cause many inconveniences;
  • risk of uneven heating. Near the stove, the temperature will be higher, and the far rooms will remain untouched;
  • fire hazard and risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

If all the norms and rules for the installation of such heating systems are fully implemented, then there will be no problems with them.

Furnace heating with a water boiler

Very convenient and versatile system. It harmoniously combines all the advantages of solid fuel and water heating, which allows us to use it for uniform heating of several rooms at once.

Design features

The principle of operation of the furnace in this system is similar to the operation of the boiler. However, unlike him, the stove heats up not only the register with water, but also its own walls, which for a long time keep the temperature and warm the living space. True, the heating of the boiler occurs only during the combustion process, but it remains hot for a long time.

The device and purpose of the register have their own characteristics. The shape of this part can be varied, the main thing is that it allows the fluid to circulate throughout the heating system, and also retains heat for a long time. For the manufacture of the register, sheet metal with a thickness of about 5 mm or water pipes is used.Sheet steel structures are quite easy to descale, but have a small heating area. But the coils made of pipes warm up better and do not interfere with the free circulation of the liquid, but it is very problematic to clean them of combustion products. Very often they are made to order, for certain furnace sizes.

Installation and Design

As a rule, the installation of furnace heating is provided for by the construction project initially, since it is directly related to the layout of the living quarters. The stove needs to be erected in the area of internal walls, access to the furnace should be free and, if possible, directed to the corridor.

It is very important to pay attention to fire safety, namely:

  • between the wooden parts of the house and the stove we leave a space of at least half a meter, since a frequent cause of ignition is excessive heating of wooden structures;
  • easily flammable parts should be faced with brick or set the cutting - construction of refractory materials;
  • Before installing the oven, it is necessary to strengthen the floor, as well as to make its thermal insulation. If the weight of the finished structure will be more than 700 kg, we will need to make a special concrete platform and disconnect it from the foundation with a layer of sand.

When choosing the appearance of the heating system should be guided only by personal wishes and interior features. Bricklaying and register installation options can be found in the specialist literature.

Mounting Features

There are 2 ways to install such heating with a water boiler - to build a furnace under an existing register or fix it on a finished structure. The second option is the most time-consuming, as it requires the dismantling of the old register, the manufacture of a new analogue of the same size, and then installing it in its original place. In this case, you need to pay attention to the fact that the volume of the water tank is at least 4 cm, otherwise the water in it will quickly boil. You can also install a pump that accelerates the process of water circulation without the risk of boiling.

If during the installation of this system all the rules are observed, and only high-quality materials are used, then in this case it will serve us for many years.
