Systems and schemes of water heating of a private house with their own hands with a heating main

To mount water heating of a private house with your own hands, you need to at least a little understanding of the principles of its operation. Home water heating systems are also called hydraulic. Water is used as a heat carrier. In the boiler, it heats up, passes through the piping through the room, as it moves along the radiators, heat passes to the air, after which the cooled coolant is sent to the boiler. The system is closed. There are systems with forced movement of the coolant and with natural movement. To install water heating at home with your own hands is quite realistic.

To install water heating of a private house with your own hands you need:

  • Boiler (may be electric, gas or solid fuel);
  • Pump;
  • An expansion tank, the capacity of which should be 10 percent of the capacity of the entire system (mandatory in the water heating system at home - prevents pipe rupture);
  • Pipes for heating;
  • Batteries
  • Thermostat - a valve that releases a certain amount of water into the system, bypassing the boiler. This reduces the load on the latter. Thanks to the thermostat, the cool water that comes from the water heating system of the house is mixed with the freshly heated and the required temperature of the coolant is reached
  • Air vent valves;
  • Safety valves;
  • Pressure gauge.

Types of heating systems

There are three systems for laying heating mains when installing water heating at home:

  • Single tube;
  • Two-pipe;
  • Beam.

The first is only good because the route consists of one pipe, along which the coolant passes alternately to each battery. That is, fewer pipes are needed, too. But such a water heating system at home is only good for heating one or two rooms. Indeed, chilled water will come to the last radiators of the circuit.

Double pipe scheme of water heating of a private house good in every way: all radiators heat up evenly. Warm water rises through the pipe to the upper end of the radiator, and flows out of it into the return line from the lower end.

The radial or collector water heating system of a private house consists in the fact that the pipelines are connected to the collector, from where, according to the principle of rays, it is distributed over the batteries. You can reproduce such a scheme of water heating of a private house with your own hands, but there is the following point. The heating main is laid under the floor, it must be installed before the floor is poured. The second name of the collector is comb. This is a pipe to which, on the one hand, all other pipes connected further to the batteries are connected.

For the correct equipment for water heating of a private house, it is necessary to calculate the following indicators:

  • Heat loss in the house,
  • Boiler power
  • Heating line length
  • The number of radiators.

As you can see, the scheme of water heating at home is not so complicated.
