Temperature sensors for evaporator, compressor and air conditioning freon

Evaporator, compressor, expansion valve and condenser are the basis of the refrigeration circuit of any air conditioner. Between them pass copper tubes - freon track.

Air conditioner evaporator temperature

The temperature of the components of the air conditioner: compressor, evaporatorDuring evaporation, the liquid absorbs heat - on the basis of this law and all air conditioners in the world work. The temperature of the evaporator of the air conditioner depends on the temperature of the freon filling the refrigerant circuit. Evaporator tubes are blown with atmospheric air. Freon itself in a liquefied form gets here and takes the heat of the air, expanding, passing into the gaseous phase. Therefore, the evaporator is the most “cool” place of the air conditioner. The air cools, the temperature of the evaporator of the air conditioner is from 8 to 16 degrees.

Such an air cooling cycle takes place in air conditioners of any brand.

A problem may arise if the freon in the evaporator does not evaporate completely. Then the temperature of the refrigerant is much higher. Liquid enters the compressor that cannot be compressed. Therefore, the compressor may break. The factors leading to such a situation may be the inclusion of an air conditioner at subzero temperatures, and clogging of the filters of the indoor unit.

Using the temperature sensor of the evaporator of the air conditioner, the cooling capacity of the air supplied to the room is regulated. The air conditioner evaporator temperature sensor stops the compressor when the evaporator temperature is too low. Typically, shutdown occurs when the temperature of the evaporator drops below normal by 2 degrees. If Freon is not enough or the evaporator is not sufficiently intensively blown with air, frost and ice accumulate on it.

Air conditioner condenser temperature

A compressor is needed to compress the refrigerant flowing along the refrigerant circuit, as well as move it further to the condenser.

At the inlet of the condenser, freon enters in a gaseous state, its pressure is 3.5 - 5 atmospheres, and the temperature is about 13 - 15 degrees. Here the refrigerant is compressed, as a result of which its temperature rises to 65 - 85 degrees, and the pressure reaches 25 atmospheres. Thus, the temperature of the air conditioning compressor at the outlet can reach 90 degrees. At the entrance, the temperature of the air conditioning compressor is only 15 degrees.

Air conditioning compressors are characterized by the volume of freon and the degree of compression.

Since the price of a compressor often makes up 80% of the cost of the entire air conditioner, its condition must be carefully monitored. Damage to the compressor, including a change in temperature inside it, is most often associated with illiterate operation or improper installation of the outdoor module.
