Does the air conditioner not turn on immediately or not start at all? What are the causes of the problems and how to fix them?
The air conditioner will work for a long time and without breakdowns if several conditions are met:
- selected correctly;
- installed correctly;
- operated correctly.

Why doesn't the air conditioner turn on?
First of all, if the air conditioner does not turn on, you should check the electricity supply. There is probably no current in the network or the cord has disconnected. Maybe the wires are damaged.
The air conditioner does not turn on and if the voltage is too low. In this case, it is necessary to install a stabilizer and connect the equipment through it.
If the air conditioner turns on and off, there is probably a problem with the toggle switch. With poor contact in the switch, the technician cannot work stably. The toggle switch should be replaced.

Why the air conditioning compressor does not turn on
The compressor does not turn on if one of the conditions is not met:
- engine is running;
- recessed power button;
- normal pressure in the system (a special sensor stops operation if it rises or falls);
- blowing fan;
- the fuse is normal;
- relay is on.
Often, the air conditioning compressor does not turn on if the temperature outside is too low.
And one of the common reasons is the lack of freon in the system. The air conditioner does not turn on immediately, it cools worse. Only a specialist can detect the cause and correct it in any of the above cases.
When you can not turn on the air conditioner
There is a main rule when you can’t turn on the air conditioner: if the air conditioners are not equipped with a special “winter” kit, then you can turn them on only at outdoor temperatures above -5 degrees.
Attempts to start the equipment in cold weather can cause the air conditioner to turn on and off, after which the compressor breaks.
The “winter” kit consists of heating the drainage, the crankcase and some other internal components and a fan speed controller.
Such an upgrade will enable air conditioning at -20 degrees.
Many consumers believe that the air conditioner cannot be turned on when the window is open. Indeed, constantly keeping open windows with the technology turned on is stupid and uneconomical. Air conditioning will be wasted. But sometimes this procedure is necessary to carry out for a quick change of air in the room. The equipment accelerates the convection of air masses that are blown out; instead, fresh air comes from the street.
