Overview of the Grundfos faecal pump range

For pumping sewage, it is important to use a surface or submersible fecal pump Grundfos. Danish units have established themselves in the Russian market as reliable, productive, affordable. In addition, the installation and maintenance of equipment does not require much effort from the master.

Purpose and scope of fecal pumps Grundfos

Fecal pump device

Grundfos pumps are actively used in such cases:

  • rise of sewage drains vertically from the lowest point of the collector and their transportation to the horizontal highway;
  • pumping out fecal masses from a septic tank, cesspool;
  • drainage of flooded rooms;
  • forced pumping of storm drains in the drainage system;
  • watering, irrigation of the garden plot with water from nearby contaminated water bodies.

Grundfos pumps are actively used both in everyday life and for industrial purposes.

Principle of operation

Fecal equipment Grundfos has a simple principle of operation. It consists in the following:

  • Contaminated water enters the pump chamber through the inlet of the unit.
  • The cutting mechanism (chopper) turns feces into a homogeneous mass in just a few seconds.
  • Drains are sent through the outlet to the destination.

Powerful steel blades of the cutting mechanism cope not only with feces, hair, toilet paper, but even process textiles. Therefore, the rags that fall into the sewer do not threaten the pump.

Design features of fecal equipment

All models of Grundfos pumps for pumping sewage, presented in the catalogs of trading companies, are powerful units made from durable materials. Structurally, each pump has:

  • durable cast iron housing;
  • reliable electric motor (single or three phase);
  • thick steel chopper wheel;
  • rotor and stator;
  • an oil chamber that prevents overheating of equipment parts during operation;
  • stainless bushings protecting the working shaft from premature wear;
  • rubber gaskets;
  • removable nozzle for easy connection of hoses or pipes;
  • sealed cable.

This design ensures a long life of the pumps without failures, the need for repairs.

Lineup and Specifications

Grundfos equipment is produced in several versions. Each of them is different in size, performance, type of material used. The most popular on the Russian market are the following pump models:

  • SE and SEV.
  • Seg.
  • Sololift2.

All of them have their own specifications.

SE and SEV Series Models

Grundfos SEV Pump

These varieties of centrifugal submersible aggregates. Designed to work directly in the pumped medium. All pumps of this model range are equipped with a large working passage, unlike surface units. Thanks to this, Grundfos pumps of the SE and SEV series are capable of pumping water with impurities, the size of which varies in the range of 50-100 mm.

Pumps have such operating parameters, according to the instructions:

  • cast iron housing;
  • steel cutting mechanism;
  • permissible temperature of the processed medium - +40 degrees;
  • working head - 44 m;
  • output pipe - 65-150 mm, depending on the specific model;
  • pump power - from 2.8 to 9 kW;
  • unit productivity - up to 88 l / h.

Grundfos SE and SEV pumps are especially in demand for summer cottages.

SEG Series Models

Sewer pump Grundfos SEG.40.12.2.50B

These units are also submersible.Technical characteristics of the equipment make it possible to operate it in conditions of increased water pollution. The pumps are equipped with overheating protection, a special mesh at the inlet pipe, which prevents excessively large inclusions from entering the chamber. Additionally, the SEG series pumps have an impeller position adjustment function. The most popular models are considered 40.12.2.1.502 and 40.15.2.50B.

40.15.2.50B is characterized by the following operating parameters:

  • weight - 38 kg;
  • power - 1,500 W;
  • productivity - 5.25 l / s .;
  • working pressure (height of the effluent) - 25.8 m;
  • maximum installation depth - 10 m;
  • section of a branch pipe - 40 mm;
  • cable length - 10 m.

For the model 40.12.2.1.502, the following technical characteristics are inherent:

  • weight - 38 kg;
  • power 1 200 W;
  • maximum working depth - 10 m;
  • height of rise of drains (pressure) - 20.7 m;
  • diameter of branch pipes - 40 mm;
  • cable length - 10 m.

For pumping wastewater from a cesspool, these pumps are especially good, efficient.

Sololift Series Models

Surface units are designed for indoor use. Most often they are used if the plumbing room is located below the level of the horizontal highway and the central receiver in the area (septic tank, cesspool). The pump lifts the drains up until they fall into the pressureless sewer and go by gravity.

Sololift pumps are enclosed in a sturdy plastic casing and equipped with an alloy steel chopper. Units additionally have a fan valve for damping sewer odors. They work almost silently - the case is suppressed, the electric drive in the equipment of this series is not the most powerful.

When choosing Sololift, you should pay attention to the labeling. Its value determines the area of operation of the pump:

  • WC - units with a grinder for the toilet;
  • C is a compact model designed for the processing of relatively clean water (wash basin, bidet);
  • D - pump for operation on a shower cabin (does not have a grinder).

The digital values in the marking indicate the number of incoming pump nozzles (1-3). That is, either one plumbing device, or three at once, can be connected to the equipment.

Specifications for different Sololift models look different depending on the marking.

Sololift WC-1:

  • power - 6,200 W;
  • productivity - 148 l / min;
  • the volume of the receiving tank is 9 l;
  • head - 8.5 m;
  • weight - 7.3 kg.

The Sololift CWC-3 is characterized by the following operating parameters:

  • power - 6,200 W;
  • productivity - 137 l / min;
  • tank volume - 9 l;
  • pressure (height of effluent) - 8.5 m;
  • weight - 7.1 kg.

The Grundfos Sololift pump is an ideal solution for autonomous sewage systems on difficult terrain.

Installation Rules

Installation diagram

Installation of a submersible fecal pump Grundfos is carried out in the following sequence:

  • Hoses of the required diameter are attached to the inlet and outlet nozzles.
  • Lower the unit to the permissible depth specified in the passport.
  • Fill the system with water and start the equipment.

Dry running of the pump is strictly prohibited.

The surface Sololift pump is installed on a specially prepared site behind the toilet, sink or shower. Typically, the device is sold fully ready for use. It is only necessary to connect the inlet and outlet pipes to the plumbing, sewer pipe. Then the system is filled with water and powered from a network of 220 watts.

Advantages and disadvantages of fecal pumps Grundfos

Grundfos equipment has the following advantages:

  • compactness;
  • relative noiselessness;
  • high performance;
  • reliability;
  • long term of operation.

Of the relative disadvantages, a high cost can be noted, but it fully justifies itself by the durability of the pumps.

The price of the Grundfos fecal pump with a grinder changes up or down depending on its modification. Models of the SEG series cost an average of 35,000 rubles. Sololift pumps have a price of 23,000 rubles.The cost of equipment may also vary slightly depending on the region, but slightly.
