As soon as the water is over, the rotor speed will increase, because the impeller will rotate without resistance, as a result, overheating will occur and the engine may burn out. Water is also used in the pump for cooling.

The number of impellers in a water cannon is directly related to engine performance and power. The more of them, the greater the volume of liquid the pump is able to pump at a lower rotor speed.

When choosing a pump, you need to know the technical characteristics by which its performance is evaluated. The main indicator is the depth with which the pump can supply water to the surface, the second is the amount of pumped liquid per minute, the third is the distance over which pressure is provided. Criterias of choice

To select a pump for a specific site or house, you must first determine its characteristics. This requires:

  • determine the distance at which the feed is planned;
  • calculate the planned consumption.

It is worth considering the degree of contamination of the well, because water cannons have a limited capacity for the size of particles in the pumped medium. You should also know the diameter of the casing installed in the well, becausethe pump should be a little smaller.

Features of installation and operation

You can install a pump that you plan to use only for watering yourself. It is necessary to connect the hose, prepare and secure in advance a metal cable with a diameter of at least 4 mm, on which the pump will hang. Hanging on an electric cord is strictly prohibited. The cable length should be a couple of meters longer than the distance to the water level in the well. After the hose is connected and the water cannon is clamped by a cable, it can be lowered into the well and immersed in water to the depth specified in the documents.

It is difficult to assemble an automatic water supply system based on a water jet without skills. Correctly connect the automation, expansion tank, adjust the working pressure, only a specialist can. A quality installation is the key to working for a long time.

Some sellers give a guarantee only if the installation was carried out by a specialist who has a certificate from the manufacturer's company, which gives the right to install well pumps.

During operation, it is necessary to annually get a water cannon out of the well, carry out cleaning and maintenance. This will significantly extend the service life.

Advantages and disadvantages
