Choosing a heating boiler: quick guide

The content of the article:

A country house is a special system that should function like a clock in order to provide the required comfort to all residents of the house. One of the most important parts of this system is the heating system. The choice of a heating system must be carried out depending on the existing features of the building, geographical location, as well as your personal desires and capabilities.

The installation of the boiler and the entire heating system should be carried out in the process of direct construction of the house. If you decide to radically change the heating system in an already built house, then you will have to torment yourself, because there will be a need to coordinate this system with the existing project. There will also be a lot of construction work associated with chiselling walls and laying a large number of pipes.

Heating circuit

The boiler is the main part of the entire heating system. The entire system and boiler can have a single-circuit or double-circuit structure. A single-circuit structure involves working exclusively for heating the building, and a double-circuit structure will also allow heating tap water.

The single-circuit boiler has in its structure one spiral for the coolant. Such a boiler will only allow heating the room.

The double-circuit boiler has two spirals in the body, each of which involves heating a certain type of water: one that is intended for heating, and intended for tap water.

Depending on the type of boiler, the entire system is equipped - single-circuit or double-circuit.

Boiler selection

The boiler can operate on various types of fuel. You can determine which type of fuel is right for you from the flow of opportunities. There are four types of fuel that a boiler can use: liquid fuel, solid fuel, gas and electricity. In accordance with these parameters, the following types of boilers are determined:

Electric. Electric boilers require work from the mains. They are quite convenient, especially if it is not possible to connect, for example, a gas boiler. The thing is that in our time electricity is everywhere, which can not be said about gas, which must be additionally carried out from the highway. The positive qualities of this type of boiler include: ease of connection and use, as well as low installation cost. However, in the future, the cost of operating such a boiler will require considerable funds, because electricity is not the cheapest resource.

Gas boiler. Perhaps one of the most economical and convenient options. If a gas main passes by your house or nearby, you can choose the gas type of heating without hesitation. This option is extremely attractive for its price, because, first of all, the cost of the resource used is relatively low. In addition, it is worth considering that the operation of such a boiler is fully automated (which can not be said, for example, about solid fuel boilers). But there are certainly disadvantages of a gas boiler. The first is the complexity of the connection. In order to crash into the gas pipeline, you will need to draw up more than a dozen documents and other pieces of paper that will allow you to do this. In addition, it is worth considering that the use of gas is a somewhat problematic option, regarding safety. Therefore, it is worth remembering the regular scheduled check of the state of the entire system.

Oil boilers have a lot of similarities with gas. They differ only in the type of fuel - diesel fuel is used in diesel fuel. This option will be ideal if there is a need to provide heating for a large house, and there are no gas connections. Fuel oil boilers are characterized by a high level of power, and, accordingly, the amount of heat that they can provide. Installation of such a boiler will not require additional paperwork. However, it is worth remembering that a liquid fuel boiler also has its drawbacks. The first is the large amount of additional care that is required. Also, the price of the equipment itself is much more than gas.

Solid fuel boilers have a minimum level of automation and the lowest cost of fuel. Coal or firewood must be constantly poured into the furnace in order to ensure the proper level of heating in the house.

Combined boilers. This type of boilers suggests the possibility of using two types of fuel in one equipment. They are quite expensive, but will save if, for example, at the moment there is no connection to the gas, and you decide to use electricity. Subsequently, when the gas pipeline is completed, it is possible to completely change the type of heating in a short period of time without significant costs.

Model selection

Having determined the needs, you can proceed to the direct selection of the model. However, a lot of nuances can arise here, based on the features of the entire system, the location of the pipes and so on. So, ideally, planning a complex heating system is best left to a professional who can determine the correct position of the pipes and boiler, as well as calculate its power and other parameters. But do not blindly trust the first specialist to come across. You can pre-understand yourself to fully control the design process of the heating system.
