What are inverter wall-mounted split systems

Modern air conditioners are divided into two types: inverter and non-inverter air conditioners. What is it and what are the features of invertor split systems?

The principle of operation of the inverter air conditioner

Current is supplied to the inverter-type air conditioning motor through the converter, changing the speed of the motor. The electric current, falling on the control board, is converted, receiving the desired frequency. The main advantage of this technology is that the speed of the compressor motor can be changed in a very large range, reaching more than three thousand revolutions per minute, increasing the productivity of the device. At increased speed, the engine runs until it reaches the required indoor temperature. After which the motor inverter system of air conditioners gradually slows down without stopping and maintaining the achieved temperature.

The system does not wear out so quickly, since there are no on-off cycles. When the compressor of a conventional air conditioner is turned off, the grease is drained and the compressor moves “dry” for several seconds. This leads to wear of parts.

Energy saving

At the maximum intensity of operation, split systems of inverter air conditioners consume 15 percent more electricity than conventional ones operating at constant maximum power.

But conventional air conditioners work in cycles. Inverter ones reduce power when the temperature reaches the required indicators. Non-inverter air conditioners that consume a lot of electricity at the time of each start-up of the system, since all its nodes operate at the maximum power:

  • thanks to the inverter, the compressor operates smoothly and more accurately taking into account the temperature of the air outside;
  • Inverter-type air conditioners have 30 - 65% less electricity consumption (with the right choice of mode). The temperature issued by the device is more constant;
  • To obtain the desired air temperature, this device spends 30 - 50% less time;
  • They work quieter;
  • Less load on the mains; less heat up the wires.

The price of inverter air conditioning systems is approximately 30% higher.

Most often, such devices are installed in rooms for sleeping and relaxing, because they work almost silently.

Cons split systems inverter type

  • They are expensive;
  • They are quite sensitive to unstable voltage in the network;
  • Split systems of inverter air conditioners are very heavy (especially the outdoor module);
  • They do not turn on if the outdoor temperature is less than -10 or more than +41 degrees.
