Purchase of brackets for mounting the air conditioner, its compressor

Typically, the indoor and outdoor units of air conditioners are attached to surfaces using brackets. The brackets for mounting the air conditioners can withstand a load significantly exceeding the weight of the modules themselves. They should be fixed with special hardware (outdoor units) or with screws (internal).

Bracket Requirements

Purchase of brackets for mounting the air conditioner, its compressorBrackets for air conditioners must meet a number of requirements:

  • Do not rust. The metal is covered with several layers of special durable paints that are not scratched during installation;
  • All holes for screwing bolts and screws are made in the factory before applying the anti-corrosion layer;
  • The load supported by the bracket for mounting the air conditioners must be equal to or exceed the weight of the equipment.

For mounting the brackets for the air conditioners themselves, you must use exclusively special mounting material, selected taking into account the wall sheathing and the mass of the equipment.

Bracket Types

There are three types of brackets for air conditioners:

  • Welded metal corners;
  • Metal corners connected by threads;
  • Universal brackets with cross member.

The cheapest and most common are welded brackets for the air conditioning compressor. But in the place of the weld, the metal quickly begins to rust. Here, the corner can be twisted, since there are no stiffeners. These mounts are bulky and difficult to transport.

The corners on the threads are made of a metal strip 2 mm thick, curved in the form of the letter P. They are interconnected with bolts. They are more expensive, but all of the listed disadvantages do not apply to them.

The brackets for the outdoor unit of the air conditioner are assembled according to the scheme described above, however they are equipped with another horizontal cross member. Thanks to the cross member, the mounting of the bracket is simplified.

Anti-rust coating

This is one of the most critical processes in the manufacture of brackets for the outdoor unit of an air conditioner.

Types of coatings for air conditioning compressor brackets:

  • Enameled;
  • Polymer;
  • Galvanizing.

Enamelled, inexpensive, but after 12 to 18 months, rust appears in some places.

The polymer can withstand more than 5 years of operation, since the polymer layer firmly adheres to the upper metal layer.

Galvanization is the most reliable processing method, providing from ten years of operation.

You can buy a bracket for the air conditioner complete with a set of mounting material (bolts, washers).
