How to build a toilet in a private house with or without sewage

Making a toilet in a private house is easy even without a centralized sewage system. You need to choose the appropriate option, prepare the tools and materials and build amenities according to a previously studied scheme.

Varieties of toilets for a private house with and without sewage

If sewage is not planned, you can purchase bio- or electric toilet

Modern technologies make it possible to create a classic bathroom with plumbing, a toilet and a drain in any private house - brick, wooden, frame. If there is no possibility of bringing the central sewerage to the suburban area, construction of a drain tank will be required - a cesspool or septic tank.

If you do not place the toilet in a country house with internal and external sewers, amenities can be located in a separate room. There is a toilet or seat with a conclusion to the drain hole. Or a device is selected without a rake:

  • chemical dry closet;
  • compost septic tank;
  • electric toilet;
  • powder-closet.

In order for such a system to function, water supply is not required: installing a small washstand for hygiene procedures is enough.

Criterias of choice

Scheme of a three-chamber septic tank

Which of the two options to prefer is determined depending on the availability of the water supply network. If there is a plumbing system, or it is planned to be carried out, a scheme with a toilet and a sewer is designed. For a small cottage with seasonal accommodation, an outdoor toilet will be enough.

It is also necessary to choose the option of autonomous sewage, if it is planned. A simple solution - the construction of a cesspool - a tank without a bottom with walls of brick, concrete rings or even old automobile wheels. In it, effluents accumulate for a certain time, after which they are pumped out with sewage equipment.

The rake is suitable for a seasonal stay in the country: the number of pumpings depends on the volume of wastewater and with a permanent residence of a large family is quite expensive.

You can also install an inexpensive sealed septic tank, which will also have to be pumped out regularly, or an effective but expensive sewage treatment plant. You can choose a compromise - make a two-chamber overflow septic tank. It consists of two separate wells: one is sealed, equipped with a bottom, the second - without a bottom, but with a filter pad.

In the first chamber, the effluent settles, solid fractions settle to the bottom. After overflow of clarified liquid into the next compartment, organic substances decompose under the influence of bio bacteria. The purified water leaves in the soil, being additionally clarified due to the filter.

Necessary tools and materials

For the sewer version, gray pipes for internal work with a cross section of 50 mm, orange pipes for external work with a cross section of 110 mm and connecting fittings are required.

To build amenities on the street you will need:

  • bars for the frame base;
  • sheet plywood;
  • batten;
  • roofing;
  • door block.

If you do not want to build a seat manually, you can install a plastic toilet without a tank.

Of the tools, a level and a tape measure, a screwdriver or a drill, a jigsaw or a hacksaw, a tape measure, a hammer and a shovel may come in handy.

Installation of a warm toilet in the house

Bathroom in a wooden private house

First of all, you need to choose where amenities will be located. You can save space in a building of two floors by placing a bathroom under the stairs.

They equip the toilet in a wooden house with sewage according to the same principle as in a building made of other materials:

  1. A ditch with a minimum depth of 0.7 m and a slope of approximately 2.5–3 cm per meter is dug from the building to the tank.
  2. Under the pipeline lay a sand cushion with a layer of 10-15 cm.
  3. Lay and heat the red pipes, seal the joints. Moat subsequently fall asleep.
  4. The output of the line is connected to the storage tank.
  5. The pipeline is introduced into the house through an opening in the foundation and connected to the intra-house riser.
  6. The toilet is first fixed in the room itself. Its drain is connected to the pipe outlet coming out of the floor or wall by means of a rubber cuff and sealed with silicone.
  7. A tank is installed on the toilet, a flexible eyeliner is connected to it, which will supply water from the water supply network.

If desired, a washbasin can be hung in the toilet room. The siphon from it is connected by means of a corrugation and a pipe to a common pipeline.

Creating street amenities

To equip the toilet on the site, you first need to build a house. Its dimensions should not be less than 1x1.5x2.2 m, so that there is enough space for a tall large person.

Construction erection:

  1. A shallow strip foundation is poured. Four columns are dug in and fixed with concrete mortar like piles.
  2. On the posts, the frame of the front, rear and side walls of bars of 50 × 50 or 80 × 80 mm is attached. The front wall is 10 cm higher than the rear for sloping the roof.
  3. A doorway is going on the facade. The frame basis of the walls are fixed to the foundation by means of metal corners. Above and at seat level, strapping is performed.
  4. The frame is veneered with plywood or wooden boards treated with an antiseptic.
  5. A slate or metal profile roof is installed on the crate so that the visor protrudes.
  6. Doors are hung.

The stool is assembled from boards or lining, or they put a plastic version, but first you need to equip the storage tank under it, and also install the ventilation riser.

Even a tiny country house can be equipped with a comfortable toilet. If you create convenience with your own hands, you will not need large cash investments.
