  • Work on the device for drainage from the polymer is carried out at a temperature of +5 degrees. It is forbidden to carry out installation in negative indicators. Plastic becomes brittle and can burst under the influence of force.
  • Fixing brackets with a smooth pitch. Hooks for polymer gutters can be placed at a distance of 60-80 cm, depending on their cross-section. The larger it is, the smaller the distance between the holders is made. In this case, the extreme brackets are first fixed at a distance of 10-15 cm from the beginning of the frontal board. Already between them, with equal pitch, the remaining hooks are installed.
  • Compliance with bias. When installing a plastic drainage system, a bias towards the receiving funnel should be made. Experts recommend adhering to a value of 3-5 mm per meter of trays.
  • The use of the "right" tool. For the polymer, scissors for metal, a hacksaw are more often used. For high-quality trimming, it is better to use emery.
  • Joining of trays is done with the help of gaskets, latches / clips or on glue.
  • A drainpipe is attached to the wall with clamps. The distance from the building box to the tube should be at least 6-8 cm.

During installation work, it is necessary to ensure that the roof slope protrudes 1/2 or 1/3 of the bend of the gutter. This will prevent the entire mass of snow from settling on it.

The device of the plastic drain is performed in several successive stages:

  • Markup. Determine the place of attachment of the drainpipe and hooks. Pre-install the control cord.
  • Mount the brackets under the trays. Fix depending on configuration. Long fasten to roof rafters. Short - to the windshield. Be sure to comply with the bias along the previously placed control cord.
  • In the outer tray, which will be connected to the funnel, make a hole under it. Two elements are joined and mounted on brackets.
  • From this tray, the others begin installation, tracking the tightness of the joints.
  • At the edges of the mounted gutters, plugs are installed.

Lastly, a drain pipe is collected from the funnel down. All bends in the area of ​​the foundation or projections of the box of the building are bypassed with the help of knees.

How to avoid installation errors

In order for the drainage system to work fully, it is important to prevent common mistakes when installing the PVC drainage system.

  • Incorrect determination of the throughput of the gutters and funnels. As a result, the system will not cope with the volume of storm water and will overflow them. All calculations are carried out at the design stage of the roof.It is important to take into account the area of ​​slopes, the angle of their slope, the type of roofing and the average annual rainfall in the region.
  • Lack of slope of the trays towards the funnel. If the gutters are placed exactly horizontally, the water will stand in the gutters and simply pour over the edge. In frost this will lead to icing and further breakdown of the system under the weight of ice.
  • Installation of gutters with an inclination towards the wall of the house or away from it. Water will also overflow.
  • Incorrect slope overhang over trays. If it takes more than 1/2 the width of the gutter, the speed of the outflow of water from the roof will not allow it to fully get into the trays. Again, runoff will overflow.
  • The drainpipe is too close to the wall of the house. Firstly, it can cause the element to vibrate about the box of the building. Secondly, it is possible that the walls of the house get wet during the outflow of rain water.
